Kim Stone is a seasoned lawyer and lobbyist. She is a graduate of Stanford University and Stanford Law School, and has worked as a state and federal prosecutor. She lobbied in house for the Civil Justice Association of California and for Blue Shield of California, and served as the President of the Civil Justice Association of California, a powerful trade association dedicated to fairness in the legal system. She has a track record of success in promoting affirmative legislation and in stopping legislation. She is both a collaborator and a fierce advocate. Her insight and experience helps her give direct, strategic advice.
Before entering politics, Kim lived and worked in La Ceiba, Honduras, where she and her husband founded the Adelante Foundation, a micro credit organization providing loans to poor women in rural Honduras.
